The heart of Jesus is for every single one of us to know Him – to know His love. He wants us to know how He sees us. It is way different than how we see ourselves.

I was praying this morning – thanking Him for all He has done for me and my family; thanking Him for the blessings in my life.

I felt His presence surround me as I was praying, and I said, “Lord, I’ve come a long way in my walk with You. I think back over the years, and I remember when I was younger – I was so selfish.” And I heard His voice clearly say, “Beautiful” at the same time I said, “Selfish.”

I stopped talking – amazed at His goodness and love for me. So many questions and thoughts raced through my head.

What? How does He see me that way? No way! I was young and selfish. I came from a divorced household, had multiple family issues (like so many others). My step-dad kicked me out the house when I was barely sixteen years old – and I struggled for such a long time.

I was selfish, bitter, and angry. I had nothing – and I had to work two jobs to survive so I could finish high school.

Those were some of the most difficult years of my life – and the Lord calls me “beautiful?”

As all of these things were going through my head, the Holy Spirit gave me revelation that my story is similar to so many others.

We come from small, impossible beginnings. We have battled through so much in our lives. We have persevered and grown in our faith – and we are still here – still fighting – still standing – and God has protected us and blessed us with so much through all the trials and tribulation.

I then heard Jesus say, “My children, you are all beautiful to Me. You are wonderful, and I am full of so much love and hope for you.

I don’t see you the way you see yourself. I see through your pain and regret. I see your heart – and I know the things you were created to do. I know the lives you are meant to touch.

I know the love in your heart – and some of you keep it hidden away – but I see it! I know it – and I want you to release it! For that love will never run dry. It is a flowing river that never stops.

Release it for others to enjoy.

You are beautiful. There is no one exactly like you. You are unique. You are special, and I love you fiercely!

You may have come from a tumultuous family; your background or childhood may not be picture perfect – but you are here now – and I want to take you from small beginnings to an overflow of abundance – more than you could ask or think!”

Ephesians 3:14-21 – “For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

I then saw in the spirit a young man huddled on the ground. He looked cold and lonely. The place was barren – there was no one around.

I saw Jesus walk to him and hold out his hand. The young man took His hand, and they began to walk together.

The scenery began to change as they walked. It went from barren to a small stream with small trees growing. As they walked the stream and the trees grew larger – eventually turning into a rushing river with tall frees full of fruit! It was amazing!

Jesus continued, “Take My hand. Walk with Me, and I will teach you things you didn’t know. I will show you the beauty that is within you. I will guide you – prepare you for what comes next in your life.

Once you receive Me, your sins are washed clean. You are forgiven – and you are free from the bondage and lies the enemy says about you.

Don’t listen to the enemy. You are loved, you are cherished – and I am always here for you.

It’s time for you to walk in the overflow of blessings I have for you, My child.

Come, let Me show you.”

Goodness, I love Jesus so much. His heart is so precious – and His love for us is more than we can comprehend.

If you are struggling in this area, know that God is for you. If you are still in your small beginning – waiting, praying, contending for your breakthrough – know that Jesus is with you. He will take you from the old thing to the new thing. Trust in Him.

He knows our hearts. He knows our struggles. He knows what the enemy has done to us. He knows our pain. You have been forged in the fire to the point you didn’t think you were going to survive – but you did; you will. There is a purpose for all of it.

Get ready to step into your new chapter – your new beginning. Do you feel that stirring in your heart? Seek it out. Ask Jesus about it. Tell Him you want to explore it – that you want to step out of the old and into the new thing.

Let that small flame ignite into a raging inferno that will be unstoppable! Get ready to step into your overflow! God is with you. Amen!
