Shame is one of the enemy’s biggest tools he uses to keep so many in bondage. He lies to convince you that you are not worthy to live a life full of peace and joy because of things you have done – or that someone has done to you.

He makes you feel less than human – that you don’t deserve anything good. But it’s all lies – all of it is lies! Jesus died for you and your sins on the cross. He took on our sin and defeated satan.

You are worthy. You are deserving. You are wonderful and beautiful – and no matter what is causing you to feel shame – you can be set free from it. All you have to do is ask Jesus, and He will set you free.

The lies that satan says about you to keep you in bondage can be countered with TRUTH and the things God says about you.

Isaiah 54:4 – “Fear not, for you will not be ashamed; be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.”

Isaiah 61:7 – “Instead of your shame you shall have double; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion; therefore, in their land they shall possess double; they shall have everlasting joy.”

Romans 8:1 – “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Proverbs 28:13 – “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”

Psalm 101:7 – “No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.”

There are many verses that counter what the enemy says about you…too many to list here. If you are struggling with this, I encourage you to look them up and read them out loud every time you feel shame or guilt. You can overcome this. Amen!

As I was praying this morning, I immediately felt the presence of Jesus. He took me in the spirit and began to show me people that are suffering because of the lies they believe that are causing them to feel so much shame. It was heartbreaking and devastating to see.

I have suffered from this, too. It kept me in bondage for years – but I finally broke free from it. I know the pain it carries. I know the horrible things the enemy whispered to me because of things in my past. We all sin, and I am so thankful for Jesus. I am not that person anymore. I am a new creation in Christ! Hallelujah!

Know that God doesn’t see you as the devil likes to portray you. The Lord wants you to walk in freedom because Jesus already suffered for you. Choose it! Choose to believe what God says about you. Choose TRUTH – not lies!

Jesus showed me Mary, His mother. She was pregnant with Him – not married. How do you explain this to people that didn’t really know her? The Bible never says she felt or experienced shame – but you know the enemy tried.

He showed me Sarah. She tried to get pregnant for so long. The enemy made her feel unworthy or that there was something wrong with her. She endured that for years – but God had a plan, and He blessed her with a son in her old age. (Genesis 18)

Jesus showed me more people that are suffering. I could see people all around them – shouting insults and hurtful things to them – causing them to withdraw from society.

The enemy not only whispers lies to you, he uses others to help cement these lies. It is mind blowing how easily he does this. It affects everything in our lives – our relationships, our courage and strength. It slowly destroys us.

I saw a woman looking in a mirror, and she was beautiful, but the image reflected in the mirror was ugly – it’s how she saw herself. She looked older than she was, and she looked sad and angry. She was full of hate.

Jesus walked over to the mirror with a hammer and hit the glass. It shattered into a million pieces. This woman fell into His arms, and He began to speak TRUTH to her – shattering the lies she believed about herself; destroying the shame she endured for so long.

She wept in His arms, and when she finally pulled away – there was a new mirror – one that reflected her true beauty.

My heart soared as I watched her looking at herself – full of joy, hope, and love! She was finally free. Amen!

Jesus said, “It is time to shatter the lies and the shame! You are not your sin. You are not the sin that someone else did to you. Don’t allow the enemy to name it – or name you!

You are a child of God – a son or daughter of your Creator. You are fully loved and fully cherished by Us. We have amazing plans for you that you have yet to tap into.

Do not believe the lies that are being spoken to you or about you. Believe Me when I say, ‘You are fearfully and wonderfully made.’ (Psalm 139:14)

If you want to know what I have to say about you, come up here. I will be more than glad to share what I love about you. I would love to share what you are meant to do – and who you are meant to be.

Walk away from the noise. Grab a hammer and together we will shatter the lies with TRUTH – and it will set you free from shame. It will reverse the damage the enemy has caused.

My children, you have lived under a canopy of lies your entire life. Your enemy has kept you in this fog and swirl of lies, and it’s time to come out of it.

Wake up! Rise up! I have so much I want you to see – so much I want you to do.

You have been oppressed and suppressed. You have believed the lies that this is it for you – that you were never meant to live a life full of love, peace, and joy.

Shatter the lies that have kept you in bondage! I am offering you freedom, victory, peace, joy, love, unity, and so much more!

You are Mine – and I long for a relationship with you – one where My Kingdom knowledge flows easily through you. I want you to destroy the enemy’s plans to harm you with My word – which is your greatest weapon.

Come, I invite you to draw closer. I will help you shatter the lies and destroy shame.

I am with you always – and together, we will do great and mighty things!”

Yes! Shatter the lies and shame! Let the enemy know he can’t have any part of you any longer! Don’t listen to the lies he speaks to you. You are more than enough!

Counter every single one of those lies with TRUTH. Look up scriptures and write them out. Speak them out loud when you feel the lies and shame creeping in. Shut the voice of the enemy down with God’s word and what He says about you.

You have so much life left to live – so many things you are meant to do! Don’t let the enemy have one more minute of your time contemplating shame or guilt. Focus on Jesus. Ask Him what His plans are for you – then choose to walk in freedom.

You are not your sin; you are not what someone else has done to you. Hold your head up high and walk in victory!

You are beautiful. You are worthy to be loved. And God has great and mighty plans for you. Amen!

In His love,
Kathy
