God’s word says to ask for the things we want, and we will receive.
Matthew 21:22 – “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
John 15:7 – “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
1st John 3:22 – “And whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.”
Mark 11:24 – “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
And there are many other scriptures I could list here. God repeats it over and over again because He wants us to understand it. It’s important to Him. Seeking Him gives you divine favor.
I know there are some of you that immediately have thoughts of doubt because you’ve asked – and asked – and asked – but you haven’t received what you’ve asked for.
It shouldn’t stop you from asking. God’s word is true, and His word says to ask, and you shall receive. So, go to Him and ask Him WHY you haven’t received. What is it that you’re missing? Ask Him what is stopping your prayer from being answered.
God knows what is best for us. It could be that what you are praying for will not turn out good for you or the person you are praying for. It could be that God is pruning you or maybe He’s waiting on your obedience in a certain area before He answers your prayer. He also could be preparing you for whatever it is you are asking for – and in time, He will answer your prayer.
Our Father knows things that we don’t. There could be many different reasons you haven’t received what you’ve asked for – but know this – God wants to give it to you. His heart is to give you what you are seeking, so go to Him. Seek Him with all your heart. He will guide and direct you in the way you should go.
Look for His peace that surpasses all understanding. Ask for it. He will meet you; He will help you – just don’t give up. Ask until you KNOW what your next step is. He will answer you. Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop asking. He hears you, so keep asking.
I’ve been struggling with this. There are so many promises He has made to me, and I’m asking Him ALL the questions – wondering when it’s going to happen and why it hasn’t happened yet. I’ve also been wondering what I’ve done wrong, or if I heard Him wrong. And I know the devil is in all of my business. He is the one discouraging me day after day – and I have to rebuke him over and over, because I know he doesn’t want me to succeed.
So, remember that you are also fighting against the enemy. He will stop at nothing to make sure you don’t receive what God wants to freely give you.
No matter what – choose Jesus! I choose Him every day because I have never experienced the love I feel from My Savior. I know He would do anything for me – and it’s the same for you. He would do anything for you.
This morning, as I prayed into this, I saw the hand of Jesus reaching for mine. I placed my hand in His, and He took me to Heaven – to a quiet place near the river of life that flows. It was beautiful and so peaceful.
He smiled and said, “There is so much that My children don’t understand about My Kingdom. I love it when they ask Me for something.
I know it comes from their heart. I see their desires – their desperation. I see their confusion and disappointment when they don’t receive what they ask for.
I hear every request – every desperate plea. I long for them to come up higher so I may reveal to them things they need to know about their requests and petitions. I have answers – and for many it doesn’t look the way they are expecting it to look.
I want them to know I hear them, and I want them to seek Me until they hear My voice of wisdom and peace.
My children – yes! Ask and you shall receive – but I am asking you to seek Me and understand My Kingdon ways. Know that I want to give you the desires of your heart.
There is nothing I won’t do for you – but you must ascend higher. Get above the noise – for your enemy, the destroyer, also hears your requests – and he steps in and steals the answers you are seeking.
He deters you and takes you down another path.
Come higher. Let Me teach you My ways. Let Me show you how to discern My voice from your enemy’s voice.
Some of you have stopped asking, and I say to you: ‘Please ask Me. Please seek Me! Ascend the mountain. Rise above the noise of your enemy, and I will meet you – and I will answer your prayers.
I will guide you in the way you should go.
Ask – and you shall receive. My word is TRUTH and it still stands today.
Ask! I want you to ask.
I hear you. All of Heaven hears you.
Come up here and ask. I have so many blessings for you!”
Hallelujah! Thank You, Jesus! You are so good!
When Jesus was here on earth, He frequently retreated to mountains for quiet solitude and communion with His Father.
Luke 6:12 – “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray and spent the night praying to God.”
Matthew 14:23 – “After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray.”
Mark 6:45-46 – “Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.”
Luke 9:28 – “About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.”
He is asking us to do the same thing. He knows the importance of rising above the noise of our enemy. Go to a quiet place where you know you won’t be interrupted and tell Him you want to come up higher to meet with Him.
Put on some worship music and pray until it is just you and Him…nothing else. Ask Him all of your questions. Write them down and bring them with you when you pray. Bring a pen so you can write down the things you hear.
If you aren’t sure it’s Him, ask until you are sure. Come back the next day if you need to and ask Him to confirm what you heard.
We are in a glorious season where God wants us to ASK! Heaven is listening! They are cheering us on – and they are praying for and encouraging us as we continue to seek the Lord.
So, ASK! Now is the time! There are so many big changes coming, and God is calling us to come up higher so we can be a part of what He’s doing.
Ask and you shall receive – in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
In His love,
Kathy
