As I was praying this morning, I saw people walking in the “wilderness.” There were no buildings or homes in sight…just trees and natural landscape.

Some of these people had backpacks, while others had nothing. They were wandering around – looking for something. Some were determined to find what they were looking for, while others seemed very confused.

As I watched, revelation came…

The wilderness is where the Lord takes us to teach us hard lessons that we could never learn without it. The hard lessons are never easy, but they are necessary for what God creates us to do in our time here on earth.

These lessons shape and mold us into who we are created to be.

Every single one of us has a purpose. We have a mission that we are meant to complete. This is important to understand.

The ones that I saw with backpacks have been in the wilderness for some time. They are learning what they need to take with them along their journey in the wilderness. They are finding their way and are determined to accomplish what they are meant to do.

The ones without a backpack just arrived in the wilderness. They are confused, frustrated, and some are angry because they don’t know or understand why they are there.

Time will change that – as long as they seek the Lord. He will guide them through it and eventually out of it.

No matter where you are at in your wilderness season, God is with you through all of the ups and downs. He is preparing you for what comes next – and it will be amazing!

Hold onto Him – and hold onto the promises He has spoken over you.

You are there for a reason – UNSEEN, UNKNOWN – on a mission that is a huge part of what God is doing all over the earth.

You matter – never forget that.

You have a purpose – and the enemy never wants you to discover what that purpose is. It’s why the fight has been so hard. It’s why the mission seems like it will never be completed.

But God has other plans! Seek Him, and you will find Him.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

He will take you places you never thought you would go. Trust in Him.

As this revelation poured over me, I heard the Lord say, “The plans and purposes I have for you, My children, are full of blessings. They are full of hope and joy. They are full of love and freedom.

They are yours – and I want you to have them – all of them.

I want you to receive all the blessings I have for you – more than you can imagine.

Your enemy strives to keep you from these things. He entices you with worldly things that are only temporary. What I have for you is eternal. Blessing upon blessing. Joy upon joy. Favor upon favor – more than you can ask or think!

Ephesians 3:20-21 – “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

Jesus continues, “So many before you have learned to embrace the wilderness. It is where you are forged in the fire. It is where the worldly things will be burned off and removed from your life. It is where you begin to fully know who I am and who you are.

It is a place where you will feel unseen – but it is there where you are changed.

You begin to grasp Kingdom knowledge.

You begin to understand your mission – and this unseen mission will propel you into ALL that I have created you to be.

It is the most important part of your journey.

What I have placed in you will help change so many other people’s lives.

You are a blessing to people you haven’t even met yet!

Know this – if you are in the wilderness, you may feel unseen and forgotten – but I want you to know today and every day that YOU ARE SEEN because I SEE you.

You are KNOWN by Me. You are not forgotten.

I am here, and I can’t wait for you to experience all that I have for you.

My child, I love you – and I am here! All you have to do is call on My name, and I will answer.

Your ‘unseen mission’ will make sense to you very soon.

Keep seeking. Keep asking. I will guide you in every step you take!”

Hallelujah! Amen! Thank You, Jesus!

Does anyone else feel like the wilderness season will never end? Does it seem like you are going in circles, and you will never find your way out of it? The answer to both of these questions is a resounding yes for me!

Wow! I needed this word today! I am thankful that God cares so deeply about each one of us.

I encourage you to hang in there! Whether you are just beginning your journey or if you have been there for a while and it seems like it will never end.

There is purpose in the waiting. God has called you to be a light in this dark world – but you will go through a wilderness season to be effective in what He has called you to do. Don’t run from it. As a matter of fact, I encourage you to run to it. Embrace it! Because it will change your life in ways that you do not yet understand. And it will be worth every minute that you spent in the wilderness.

There are so many others going through something right now – so many that are confused and frustrated. If you see it – if you notice it, pray for them. They need encouragement. They need the peace of God. They need to know the best is yet to come. Amen!

The unseen mission that so many are struggling with will manifest. You may not fully understand what it is yet, but you know God is doing something. Stay in the fight. Stay close to the Lord. Keep seeking Him. Have faith because your blessing is so close.

You are called. You are chosen. You are loved beyond anything you can imagine. Don’t give up! God is with you in every step you take. Amen.
