When I first got saved over twenty-six years ago, I had no idea the journey God was going to take me on. I was definitely still asleep back then, but I was so excited to pursue a relationship with Jesus. And now, I look back and realize that all of it had a purpose – and I am so thankful for the journey that has brought me where I am at today.
During that journey, I encountered a religious spirit multiple times – but I didn’t know what it was back then. I was hurt deeply multiple times from people that I looked up to and respected – and when you are deeply entrenched in your church, it’s hard to see past what is right in front of you – until it happens over and over and over again. That is when I started questioning everything. And it took me a full year to realize what was happening – and it was only the tip of the iceberg.
A religious mindset is one full of man-made rules and regulations. And there are many that get caught in this trap that seems to be a never-ending loop of believing things they are told by preachers, pastors, leaders, or others that have the same mindset.
They (not all, but some) are judgmental of others that do not believe the same way they do. They walk in self-righteousness and are very defensive concerning their beliefs. They are bound by the rules they believe.
But Jesus never meant for them to be this way.
Once again, we see the enemy’s hand at play here. When someone gets saved, the enemy immediately goes to work to deceive them. If he can get them caught up in the web of a religious mindset – then he has them bound – again.
Jesus wants us to be set free.
The devil wants us in bondage.
And there are many that have this religious mindset.
A Kingdom mindset is completely different. It is characterized by love, joy, and peace through an intimate relationship with God that is guided by faith and the Holy Spirit.
Their minds are focused on the things of Heaven – not earthly things. They are led by God’s word and the Holy Spirit – and they have faith and steadfast trust in God – even through trials and tribulations.
Religion is a tool the enemy uses to deter people from an intimate relationship with God. It keeps them focused on ‘rules’ they feel need to be followed to be a ‘good’ Christian. But the more we awaken, the more we see and realize this isn’t what God wanted for us.
He desires a true, intimate relationship with each one of us. He wants to interact with us – with you. He wants to talk to YOU, laugh with YOU, comfort YOU when you are sad or angry. He wants to answer all the difficult questions you have. He wants to reveal TRUTH to you.
As more of us awaken to this and as we partner with the Lord – we are coming out of that religious mindset and awakening to a Kingdom mindset. Out with the old – in with the new.
God is doing a NEW THING! Amen!
All of this was on my heart this morning as I began to pray and worship the Lord. And I knew He wanted to speak about this, so I continued to pray until I felt His presence all around me.
I saw in the spirit a woman being held back by people and demons – her arm was stretched out, and she was looking towards Jesus. He was calling her to come to Him. She desperately wanted to run to Jesus, but she couldn’t.
This is such a vivid reminder of what so many are experiencing right now. The world and the enemy are holding them back from a relationship with Jesus. They are holding them back from answering His call.
But all of that is changing – praise the Lord! God is moving. He continues to call us to Him – to call us to come up higher – and so many are answering His call!
I rejoiced when I saw the woman break free and run to her Savior. She melted into His arms.
We are breaking free of the enemy’s grip on us – one person at a time. Amen!
I then heard Jesus say, “It takes strength and courage to break away from the hold satan and the world has over you, My children – but I was crucified so you could be set free!
For the ones that are struggling to break free – keep seeking, keep asking – I am with you. I am your strength. I am your courage.
Take hold of My hand, and I will pull you out of the miry pit and set your feet on solid ground.”
Psalm 40:1-2 – “I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”
He said, “Come out of Religion – step into FREEDOM!
Take hold of what I have for you because I have many wonderful plans that will change your entire world – plans that will bless you!
Come up higher, and I will show you these things.
There are many that are caught up in the net of a religious mindset. My heart burns for them to be set free.
They are hurting. Some are confused – and many have become hard-hearted.
This is not what I want for them.
Pray for them! Pray that they will be set free! My heart is for them to truly know Me as I know them. Pray that My Kingdom knowledge fills their hearts and minds.
Pray, ‘My Kingdom come, My will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.’ (Matthew 6:10)
We continue to move on your behalf, My children. We are working – preparing – changing things all around you.
Keep seeking Me, and I will be found.
Keep seeking Kingdom knowledge – and revelation will come.
Keep praying for the lost – for many prodigals will soon come home.
Keep praying for the ones with a religious mindset. Pray that they draw close to Me so I can show them what it is to have a Kingdom mindset – for many changes are coming in the days ahead.
My church is changing. She is seeking Me like never before, and I will pour out My blessings on her as she seeks Me.
The religious mindset will have no place as My Kingdom comes and My will is done!”
Yes! Hallelujah! We hear You, Jesus! We will keep seeking You. We will keep praying for the lost and all the ones that have been deceived and have come into agreement with a religious mindset. Amen!
Out with the old – in with the new! That is where we are headed. We are moving forward, and nothing can stop what God is doing.
So many people have been praying for everything to be revealed – for all the evil to be exposed. And God is working to do that and so much more. We are seeing this right now in many different ways all around the world.
What God is doing isn’t going to stop. The enemy will not be able to stop what is coming because our God still sits on the throne in Heaven, and because we have partnered with Him, asking for His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven, it will not stop until His will is done!
The Lord has been telling us for several years now to change our mindsets because big changes are coming. He is dismantling satan’s evil empire and the control he has over us in every area of society – education, family, economy, government, media, arts and entertainment – and religion.
We are leaving religion behind. Jesus said He will come back for His Bride that “has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7)
We are not ready – not yet. The church is struggling in many areas because we have let our enemy infiltrate even the most holiest of places. We read about this in the New Testament when Jesus was here – and it’s still happening today. satan has deeply embedded himself in our churches, and he is causing so much chaos.
But – we are waking up. God is showing us what the enemy has been doing – and we are DONE with his evil, wicked, and corrupt plans.
Keep seeking Kingdom knowledge. Pray for the lost. Pray for the ones that are deceived with a religious mindset. Many changes are coming in the days ahead, and the Lord wants us to be ready.
The church is changing, and we are leaving religion behind! The Lord said, “The religious mindset will have no place as My Kingdom comes and My will be done!”
Pray. Have faith that God is moving all around you to answer your prayers. His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
