It’s been a few days since I spent time with Jesus. I felt off, not connected – and I was struggling with peace.
Life gets so busy and so crazy sometimes. The enemy does everything he can to distract us from spending time with the Lord – and when I get distracted, I miss my Savior.
My goal is to try and spend time with Him every day…sometimes it’s just not possible and I skip a day – even then I can feel the difference. But when I skip two or three or four days – wow – things just creep in, and before I know it, I feel off – out of balance – and I have no peace.
This morning, I needed time with Him – and as I sat in my prayer corner praying and worshipping, I knew – I felt His sorrow. He missed me more than I missed Him.
I began to worship Him even more, and I felt Him cleansing all the junk – all the distractions. I repented and asked for His forgiveness for drifting away – even though it was brief.
I realized that every part of me missed Jesus. I needed time with Him – we all do!
The enemy is so good at putting a wedge between us and Jesus. It’s so important to put a stop to it before the gap becomes wider and wider. If we separate from Jesus, we stop producing fruit.
I thought of John 15:5 (the verse above) – and as I was praying about this, I knew the Lord wanted me to share this with all of you.
The enemy knows how to steal your peace, your time, your joy – so I want to encourage you today – take time and spend it with Jesus.
In those moments of praying, worshipping, and repenting – He fully restored me back to Him. He will absolutely do the same for you.
I love Jesus so, so much – and I do not like feeling disconnected from Him. And to know it grieves Him helps me understand His love is deep – and it’s the same for every one of His children.
He has instructed us to stay close to Him – especially because of what we are going through right now – a Great Awakening.
Don’t let the enemy distract you. Rebuke him in the name of Jesus!
John 15:5 – “I am the vine; you are the branches.”
You are a part of the vine – Jesus, and He wants you to produce fruit. This fruit blesses many others – so stay close to Him. Don’t let two or three or four days pass by – don’t let the gap get wider and wider. Stay close to Him. Spend time with Jesus.
Thank You, Jesus, for your love. Thank You for restoring me – for encouraging me to keep going – for reminding me that satan seeks to kill, still, and destroy everything.
Thank You for loving me so completely – for never giving up on me, for lovingly guiding me to and through all that you have called me to do. I so love You…
I pray today, Jesus, that this encourages Your children, and that they are drawn to spend time with You. I pray they have an amazing encounter with You, and You reveal how much You love them. Thank You, Jesus.
And thank you to the ones reading this – for allowing me to share my heart with you today. Jesus loves you, and He is and always will be your greatest GIFT – your greatest ENCOURAGER!
In His love,
Kathy
