Dancing was on my heart and mind when I woke up this morning. I was full of joy, so I went to sit with the Lord, and I asked Him about it.
He referred me to 2nd Samuel 6:14 – “And David danced before the Lord with all his might.”
And also Psalms 149:3-4 – “Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.”
Yes! Praise the name of the Lord, for He is worthy!
As I prayed, I found myself dancing with Jesus. Oh, how I needed it!
I needed to let go of all my worries. I needed the joy and laughter. I needed the feeling of releasing all that has been on my heart and mind!
Wow! It was so much fun!
While we were dancing, Jesus made funny faces – and I laughed so hard! He laughed with me, and He laughed at others that were dancing around us. It was pure – and it was exactly what I needed.
My goodness, I didn’t want to stop! I wasn’t out of breath, and I felt like I could dance with Him all day! So, when Jesus pulled me aside to give us a word of encouragement, I held onto those feelings of joy and pure abandonment. Even now, as I type out these words, it is there. Thank You, Jesus, for knowing exactly what I needed!
I need You, and I will forever dance with You! Amen!
Jesus said, “Find joy, My children. Look for it. Don’t get caught up in the day-to-day doldrums.”
The definition of doldrums is “a state or period of inactivity, stagnation, or depression.” (Dictionary.com)
“Find joy in what you do. Even better – come up here and spend time with Me. Come dance with Me!
We will laugh together.
We will have so much fun together!
I will fill your heart with child-like wonder!
My children, I love seeing you happy. I love making you laugh – it fills My heart with joy!
Don’t let the enemy steal your joy.
Don’t listen to his lies.
Come, I invite you to come dance with Me. I would love nothing more than to spend time with you – filling you with hope, love, and JOY!
Don’t hesitate! Come! Let Me show you what I am talking about.
Let’s dance!!”
DO IT! Take some time today and DO IT! Go and sit with the Lord. Get quiet, and imagine you are dancing with Him. Talk to Him about it. Tell Him you want to dance with Him and that you want Him to bring you JOY and make you laugh!
Let Him take your worries and your burdens away. He would love to spend time with you.
Let Jesus bless you today. You need it, and He would love nothing more than to spend time with you.
He is so good!
I pray this blesses you today – and even more, I pray that you dance with Jesus. It will change your whole outlook on all the crazy things you are dealing with. You deserve it, and it will not only bless you, it will also bless Jesus!
