Hope deferred means we have been waiting for something good to happen for a really long time.

I think we can all agree that this statement rings truer than ever right now. We have been waiting and waiting…and waiting for all of the lies to be revealed – waiting for all of it to come out so the ones that have committed these evil crimes can be punished, and we can start rebuilding again. We have been waiting for answered prayers for ourselves and our loved ones.

When our hope is deferred, we tend to become discouraged and thus vulnerable to the enemy. Sometimes we just want to give up because the waiting is so hard.

But a longing or desire fulfilled means that our hopes and dreams have come true – then we are renewed and refreshed – ready for the blessings God has prepared us for. (Biblestudytools.com)

Longing fulfilled fills our hearts with joy in all the empty places. We feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. This is what we long for – peace, love, and joy in our hearts.

The tree of life symbolizes renewal, a full life, an everlasting life. It connects us to Heaven. We know that Jesus said in John 15:5 that He is the vine, and we are the branches.

John 15:5 – “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

We must stay close to Him – connected to our Savior. He is the One that gives us hope when we don’t see it ourselves. He is the One we can count on for ALL things. He is the tree of life – and from it we draw our strength and wisdom.

Proverbs 13:12 is the verse that came to my mind when I began praying this morning.

Many of us have been or are currently in the hope deferred part of this verse. Praying and waiting then praying and waiting some more.

It’s hard, and it’s a place none of us willingly go to.

Today, I want to remind you that Jesus is there. He is in your prayers. He is in the waiting. Don’t give up hope – He hears your prayers.

The Lord has a word of encouragement for you today. He says, “My children, My precious ones – hope deferred is part of your wilderness journey. It is the most difficult part, I know – but if you could see yourself the way I see you – then you would understand how important this process is.

There is purpose in the waiting. It draws you closer to Me. It allows Me to teach you things about your life that you need to know. It prepares you for the blessings I have for you.

I am the tree of life – and you are a part of Me. I want you to succeed in all that you do.

I am full of life – and I long to see you full of life, hope, joy, and love.

Stay close to Me – the tree of life. I want you to bear good fruit for yourself and others.

We are entering a time of awe and wonder. It will be seen, heard, and felt all around the world. Things are being made ready for this right now. Watch and see.

When you abide in Me and I abide in you – all of your hopes and dreams come true. I will fulfill all of your desires because I love you deeply.

I am the vine. You are the branches. You are a part of Me, and I am a part of you. Stay close – and watch what I will do for you.”

Jesus is our hope. He is the vine that we cling to through every up and down that happens in our lives.

He is the tree of life – the One that symbolizes everlasting life.

Do not lose hope today. Do not be discouraged. Hold onto Jesus. Let Him abide in you, and you in Him.

I pray that all your hopes and dreams are soon fulfilled – to God be the glory! Amen!

In His love,
Kathy
